Mr Smith Group are a multi-disciplinary team providing Business Support Services through four focused divisions.
Their core offering of Business Improvement, Events Management, Estate Management and Recruitment are integrated with a focus on optimising the People, Process & Assets of the clients they work with.
Chest of Draws was approached by the directors of the company with a request to design a logo and branding guidelines for the business entities.
The brief was simple – a clean and elegant design which tied in the four core business units.
We ended up going with a simple but elegant wordmark for Mr Smith Group with four bars to the side of it to represent each of the businesses. Each business is assigned it’s own unique colour and for this reason the four bars are four separate colours. When the wordmark is cascaded down to the individual businesses, all of the bars are represented in a single colour representing the relevant unit. This way there is a clear relationship between the brands but by using different colours they can each have their own identity.
